Hell and the Near Death Experience

Some people will glibly say that they prefer to go to hell rather than heaven, because that’s where all their friends will be. However, they have no clue! Hell is not only a place, but a continual forever state of torment, suffering and regret; devoid of all that is good, holy and perfect.

Sinful human nature likes to avoid thinking and talking about hell. Could that be, because it is the “perfect” place  for an eternity “day of reckoning?”

This web author has found that when he posts something about “hell,” – that posting does not generate that many page views, as opposed to, (for instance) a huge government scandal. Perhaps, this is because of a few reasons:

1) People (in general) are more drawn to the worst that is “here and now.” Government scandals are in the here and now, and don’t necessarily affect the normal rank-in-file, directly.

2) People (in general) don’t care to think about hell, as they instinctively know that it is the most awful place to be.

3) People (in general) cannot conceive why a loving God would allow anyone to spend an eternity in hell. [1] It is mind boggling to think about an endless hereafter, let alone a place and state of torment 24/7 without end. So, the mind unconsciously and consciously blocks out, not only the comprehension about hell, but the thinking of it, in the first place.

However, the hereafter, for every human soul, is ever present. None of us knows when our time on earth has reached its (end) limit:
